The Pamphleteer

During colonial times in America, if you wanted to convince or inform people about some issue that you considered important, you went to the local printer and got some pamphlets printed. You then handed them out, read them to anybody that was interested, nailed them to the town bulletin board, or the nearest tree. The first amendment was specifically written to protect this type of activity and the writers or "pamphleteers".

Just Some Thoughts...

So Senator Kerry and Senator Edwards are on their tour of America, blah, blah, blah...

Anyway, Senator Kerry spots some Marines and decides "it's photo ops time..."

Blogs for Bush has the only photo of the event that I've seen so far.

If you look at the picture closely, you will see one of the Marine sergeants standing at attention, while the other has stopped eating and is listening to whatever point the Senator is making. This is in accordance with custom, courtesy, tradition, and regulation. The Marines cannot resume eating until the Senator walks away or tells them "Carry on".

So until this windbag shuts the hell up and leaves; the Marines, who are probably on a limited time lunch break, must let their food get cold.

My brother, who lives in the Commonwealth of Taxachusetts, tells me that Senator Kerry is known as the "Do you know who I am?" Senator for his unbelievable rudeness.

There is no way in hell I'd ever vote for this rude motherfucker!

A LETTER FROM FLORIDA GOVERNOR
JEB BUSH

Dear Patrick,

The extreme makeover of John Kerry continued this past week in Boston.

Centrist Democrats paraded across your television screen to praise the most liberal Senator in Washington and his running mate - the 4th most liberal member of the Senate.

The Democrats are working hard to make Americans believe that these far-left politicians are actually mainstream. Only you can ensure this doesn't happen.

www.GeorgeWBush.com/JebBush/

My brother is the President, and I am very proud of him. But the truth is, I would be working just as hard for his re-election if he wasn't.

Why?

Because I believe he is the right person to lead.

My brother believes that strong families do make a difference and he fights for that belief. He believes in the constitutional rights of Americans. He believes you can have a strong, growing economy, and still safeguard the economy.

My brother would never dream of telling different audiences different stories, because he believes that values are constant, and don't change with the political winds or the special interest you're addressing.

What about John Kerry? What does he believe? Well, you can tell a lot about a Senator's beliefs from the way they vote.

Kerry has consistently voted against strengthening America's families, including his support for the distribution of the morning after pill in schools without parental notification, and his opposition to the Medicare prescription drug benefit for seniors.

Kerry's views change depending on the day and the audience.

---He told Wisconsin voters he likes to go hunting with his "trusty 12-gauge double-barrel," but he received an "F" from the National Rifle Association.

---He said in Iowa that he is personally opposed to abortion, and believes that "life does begin at conception," but he has received a 100% rating from the National Abortion & Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL).

---He told voters in the West that he likes "a lot of parts" of the Healthy Forests bill, but he told Democratic primary voters that the law took "a chainsaw to public forests."

---He told autoworkers in Michigan he owns "an SUV... a Chevy, a big Suburban," but then he told environmentalists, "I don't have it, the family does."

We cannot trust the presidency to someone who makes decisions by holding up his finger to determine which way the political winds are blowing.

I hope I can count on your help.

Sincerely,
s/
Governor Jeb Bush

P.S. John Kerry's extreme makeover continued last week in Boston. We need your help to expose the real John Kerry - the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate.

Can you help by giving $100, $50, or even $25 today?

Just Some Thoughts...

By now everyone who has an opinion has deconstructed Senator John Kerry's acceptance speech.

Several news outlets have a picture of the Senator rendering a salute and some cute caption such as "Reporting for Duty", etc,

That had to be the worst hand salute in history. Anyone who has spent anytime in the military knows that they would have gotten their butt reamed if they had given a hand salute like Senator Kerry did last night.

Senator Kerry's speech was well practiced, a pity he didn't spend a few moments getting the salute correct.

Will it cost Senator Kerry votes?

Oh yeah, more than you think...

A LETTER FROM SENATOR JOHN MC CAIN

Dear Patrick,

Today we face the greatest test of our generation, defending our nation from a depraved, malevolent force that opposes our every interest and hates every value we hold dear. There was no avoiding this war but we will survive. Our enemies must not.

In this challenging time, I am grateful for the leadership of President George W. Bush and his steadfast resolve in defending our nation. He has led this country with moral clarity about the stakes involved and the strength to achieve unconditional victory.

Our President has not wavered in his determination to make this world a better, safer, freer place. Our nation must not yield in this long, tough fight to vanquish international terrorism and with George W. Bush as our President, it will not.

My friends, this is the most important election of our lifetime and I wouldn't be writing you if I didn't firmly believe in President Bush's leadership and the need for his re-election in these challenging times. As Democrats gather in Boston, I am asking you to demonstrate your strong support for President Bush by making a contribution to his re-election campaign at www.GeorgeWBush.com/JohnMcCain/ today.

To the work of many American generations who protected our interests and championed our values abroad must now be added the defense of our freedoms here at home from a clear and present danger. We are very fortunate that in these challenging days we have a President and Vice President that have demonstrated time and again the determined, clear thinking necessary to prevail in this global fight between good and evil.

With your continued support and hard work, I am certain that the President's campaign will prevail this November.

www.GeorgeWBush.com/JohnMcCain/

Thank you for your belief in our nation and your strong support of President George W. Bush.

Sincerely,
S/
John McCain
U.S. Senator

P.S. As the Democrats continue their attacks on our President, make sure you show your support for President Bush by making a contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or even $50 at www.GeorgeWBush.com/JohnMcCain/ today.

WITNESSES...

(From Gene, our correspondent in Washington Heights.)

Now that Senator John Kerry has the Democratic Presidential Nomination, let's congratulate him.

Good Job Senator!

Now back to work.

Senator Kerry has made his Vietnam service the centerpiece of his campaign, but waht do the people who served with him 35 year ago say...

Swift Boat Veterans Speak About Senator John Kerry

It's going to be an interesting campaign.

Just Some Thoughts...

As a lifelong resident of NYC (Except for time in the military), I have many times done battle with various types of vermin that can invade our living space. Believe me, they're tough to get rid of...

What would eliminate ordinary roaches, rats, and Democrats in other parts of the country, doesn't phase the NYC variety.

The point that I'm slowly getting to is a story in the New York Post by Deborah Orin, about that worthless scumbag Joseph Wilson IV. I thought we had purged him from the political field, apparently like a NYC cockroach, he's still active.

One thing I've learned in my lifelong battle against NYC vermin, is if they come back, give them the treatment all over again.

Therefore, I'm repeating my post of July 11, 2004 and urge everyone to pound this asshole until he's gone.

Normally, I try not to repeat political stories more than once on this site. However, the following story has been ignored by the mainstream media, Drudge, Newmax, etc. The only ones interested are the Blogosphere.

Kevin Patrick wrote on Blogs for Bush about a story about Joe Wilson, he
wrote:

"..the Washington Post shows that the Joe Wilson/Yellowcake Uranium Scandal/Publicity Tour was full of self-serving, dishonest and all-around
wrong statments, allegations and propoganda by the former Ambassador who
"outed" the Bush White House's ignoring of his warning that Iraq
didn't seek uranium from Niger. Turns out the White House was correct and Joe Wilson is a publicity seeking liar."

This story has yet to be picked up by Drudge, or make waves in the
mainstream media.

Here's how was can possibly help. With your blogs please write about the
story from the Washington Post.

Please check out the Washington Post story, the blog entry at Blogs For Bush
about it, and blog about it on your sites.

In order to effective increase the blog-popularity of this story, please
link to both the Washington Post article, the entry on Blogs For Bush on it,
and track back Blogs For Bush. This will allow various blog crawling engines to rank the stories and our blogs appropriately, increasing our effect.

This is important because as I mentioned earlier, the Republican National
Committee and the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign are watching Blogs For Bush.
I also advise you to check out the various blog entries that trackback the
entry on Blogs For Bush, and select a few that you find particularly
insightful to trackback from your own sites. This can increase traffic to
your blog and help push this story by showing visitors of all your blogs
that this is a big story that must be talked about.

Here are the relevant links:

When this story broke back in February/March of this year; the media was in a feeding frenzy. Indictments of Vice-President Cheney and Karl Rove were supposed to be just around the corner.

Now it appears that if anyone should be indicted, it would be Ambassador Joseph Wilson IV.

You Are Being Warned!!

(Submitted by various correspondents.)

Editor's note: Twelve years ago, when people warned about Hillary Clinton, we were mocked as being afraid of strong women. Wait until Teresa Heinz Kerry starts rolling.

> The following is a brief backround on Mrs. John Kerry, She hates
being called that, by the way:
>
> Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Married Senator
Kerry in 1995. She only took his name eighteen months ago and she is an
"interesting" paradox of conflicts.
>
> If you thought John Kerry was scary, he doesn't hold a candle to his
wife! Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in
Mozambique, the daughter of a Portuguese physician, was educated in
Switzerland and South Africa. Fluent in five languages, she was working as a
United Nations interpreter in Geneva in the mid-60's when she met a
"handsome" young American, H. John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in
Geneva. He told her his family was "in the food business."
>
> They were married in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his
family ran the giant H. J. Heinz food company. He was elected to the US
House of Representatives in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the first of
three terms in the United States Senate. A Republican, he wrote a burning
diatribe against some of the causes backed by young House member John
Kerry.)
>
> Several years later, in 1991, he was killed when his plane collided
with a Sun Oil Company helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb. The senator,
his pilot and copilot, and both of Sun's helicopter pilots were killed. He
was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons. Four years
later, having inherited Heinz's $500 million fortune, she married Senator
John Forbes Kerry, the liberal then-junior senator from Massachusetts. She
became a registered Democrat and the process of her radicalization was set
in motion.
>
> Heinz Kerry is not shy about telling people that she required Kerry
to sign a prenuptial agreement before they were married. John Kerry may not
have check writing privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle fortune, but he
is certainly a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it.
>
> A lot of hard-earned money, made through many years of hawking
catsup, mustard, and pickles has fallen into the hands of two people who
despise successful entrepreneurship and who believe in the confiscatory
redistribution of wealth.
>
> So how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?
>
> Just one example: According to the G2 Bulletin, an online
intelligence newsletter of WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she
gave more than $4 million to an organization called the Tides Foundation.
And what does the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?
>
> They support numerous antiwar groups, including Ramsey Clark's
International Action Center. Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein when
he's tried.
>
> They support the Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of the
Tides Foundation and billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The Democratic
Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration from
"terrorist" states.
>
> They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose
leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.
>
> They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist
front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart, has
been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, communicate
with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World
Trade Center bombing.
>
> They support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical Hispanic group whose
primary goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas
to Mexico.
>
> These are but a few of the radical groups that benefit, through the
anonymity provided by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our
would-be first lady, the wealthy widow of Republican senator John Heinz, and
now the wife of the Democratic senator who aspires to be the 44th President
of the United States.
>
> Aiding and supporting our enemies is not good for America,
regardless of your political views.
>
> If voters will open their eyes, educate themselves and see the real
Teresa Heinz Kerry, they will not appreciate her position as ultra rich
fairy godmother of the radical left. They will not want to imagine her
laying her head on a pillow each night inches away from the President of the
United States.
>
> Hopefully they love this country enough to decide that the only way
these two will ever be allowed into the White House is with an engraved
invitation in hand.
>
> Instead of deleting this, pass it on. Let everyone know these people
are unfit to represent this great nation. The uninformed will never hear the
truth from the press, who wants Kerry elected!
>
> Those who buy the Kerry facade, beware what you vote for - - - you
may regret that you got it!

Editor's note: It's very ironic that The Manchurian Candidate has been remade. We have John Kerry in the Laurence Harvey/Liev Shreiber role, and Teresa Heinz Kerry in the Angela Lansbury/Meryl Streep role.

What really happened to John Kerry in Vietnam?

Subject: Republicans v Democrats

(From Dan, our correspondent in the Commonwealth of Taxachsusetts, who is currently a designated driver at the Democratic National Nominating Convention while wearing a New York Yankee baseball cap and a Bush-Cheney 04 button.)

(Editor's Note: Don't ask, it'll just drive you crazy.)

Are you a Democrat or a Republican?

With elections coming up, we should all decide.

Question:

How do you tell the difference between democrats and republicans?

Now look closely.

Answer. Pose the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small
children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes
around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises
the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock .40, and you are an
expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your
family. What do you do?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!

Does the man look poor or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

What about the kids?

Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of
his hand?

What does the law say about this situation?

Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does
this send to society and to my children?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely
want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away
while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1?

Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint
and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would
discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing!

I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come
to a consensus.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Dear Patrick,

On September 2, 2004, our Party will come together in New York City to nominate George W. Bush as our candidate for President and formally launch the general election campaign - a campaign for the Heart and Soul of America.

In millions of homes around the country, families, friends and neighbors will gather for the National Convention Watch Party for the President - our third National Party Day - to hear the President speak.

Will you join us?

For more than a year, the Democrats have attacked while their candidates have equivocated on every issue from education and the economy to Iraq and the War on Terror. And next week in Boston, the Democrats will formally nominate their candidate.

Their supporters have called the President a thug, a criminal, and a killer, and John Kerry and John Edwards say such remarks represent the "Heart and Soul" of America. Show them how wrong they are!

Show them the Heart and Soul of America supports President George W Bush.

Host a Convention Watch Party for the President!

In April, we held more than 5,200 parties for the President, in July, we held nearly 7,000. Make our Party on September 2 the biggest and best!

Setting up your party is quick and easy. Just tell us when your party starts and who you'd like to invite and we'll handle the rest. We'll send the invitations, and they can RSVP online.

You can even invite fellow Bush Volunteers in your area to join your celebration.

Will you join the Party today?

Sincerely,
S/
Marc Racicot
Chairman

P.S. On September 2, the President will formally accept the nomination to run for re-election. Will you join us for the National Convention Watch Party for the President? It's our third National Party Day. Get started here!

A RABID ROTTWEILER

(Submitted by various correspondents.)

Two boys in Boston were playing basketball when one of them was attacked a
rabid Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy ripped a board off a nearby
fence, wedged it into the dog's collar and twisted it, breaking the dog's neck.
A newspaper reporter from the Boston Herald witnessed the incident and rushed
over to interview the boy.

The reporter began entering data into his laptop, beginning with the headline:

"Brave Young Celtics Fan Saves Friend From Jaws Of Vicious Animal."

"But I'm not a Celtics fan," the little hero interjected.

"Sorry," replied the reporter. "But since we're in Boston, Mass,
I just assumed you were."

Hitting the delete key, the reporter begins again,

"John Kerry Fan rescues Friend From Horrific Dog Attack."

"But I'm not a Kerry fan either," the boy responds. The reporter says,
"I assumed everybody in this state was either for the Celtics or Kerry or
Kennedy. What team or person do you support?"

"I'm a Houston Rockets fan and I really like George W. Bush" the boy
says Hitting the delete key, the reporter begins again:

"Arrogant Little Conservative Bastard Kills Beloved Family Pet."

(Editor's note: While the story is funny, it sums up the attitude of the mainstream media in the next week.)

Somehow, I'm on the mailing list of the Democratic Party. I've tried every spam filter known, asked that my name be left off their lists, and sent threatening letters to them. However, every cloud has a silver lining.

The DNCC sent me the following, and my first reaction was "What a load of crap!". Then I decided to post it for the entertainment of others, who will probably do a very good job of deconstructing the text, analyzing, and mocking it. I'm a big fan of mockery.

DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE THEMATIC
FRAMEWORK FOR 2004 CONVENTION

Four Days to Focus on the Kerry-Edwards Vision
For a Nation 'Stronger at Home, Respected in the World'

Washington, DC * The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC)
today unveiled the thematic framework for the 2004 Democratic National
Convention, which will take place July 26-29 in Boston, MA.

"The 2004 Democratic Convention will tell the life stories of John
Kerry and John Edwards to the nation * the story of their lifetime of
service to the nation and fight for average Americans, and their vision for a
stronger and more secure America," said Governor Bill Richardson, Permanent
Chair of the 2004 Convention. "We believe in a nation that is 'Stronger at Home,
Respected in the World,' and this Convention will showcase the team
that Americans can trust to always be on their side to achieve that goal."

"Throughout his life, John Kerry has answered the call to duty with
patriotism and resolve," said Governor Jeanne Shaheen, Chair of
Kerry-Edwards for President and a Convention Vice-Chair. "During this
Convention, we will tell the story of his lifetime of strength and
service and how, with John Edwards, he will put those values to work for all
Americans."

Using speakers, videos, and other programmatic elements, organizers
will amplify several themes over the course of the four-day Convention. The
following is a partial speakers list.

Monday, July 26

The Kerry-Edwards Plan for America's Future

The opening night of the Convention will highlight the Kerry-Edwards
plan to make America strong at home and respected in the world. John Kerry
and John Edwards believe that a stronger America begins with a strong
economy and a growing middle class, health care that's affordable and
available for all, and a nation that is free and independent of Mideast oil. John
Kerry and John Edwards also know that to be strong at home, America must be
respected in the world. As President and Vice President, John Kerry
and John Edwards will strengthen our military and lead strong alliances.

On Monday, featured speakers will highlight key elements of the
Kerry-Edwards optimistic plan for America's future, including:
Representative Stephanie Tubbs-Jones of Ohio who will talk about the
plan to create new and better jobs at home and a stronger economy for the
middle class, Representative Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin who will discuss the
plan to create affordable and available health care for all Americans, and
Representative Bob Menendez of New Jersey who will discuss the
Kerry-Edwards' plans to strengthen America's position in the world.

Former Vice President Gore and Former President Carter will speak
Monday as well as Former President Clinton who will outline John Kerry's
proven leadership, real experience and optimistic vision to strengthen
America.

Tuesday, July 27

A Lifetime of Strength & Service

John Kerry's life reflects strength, character, and sense of duty and
honor. These values reflect the type of leader he has been throughout
his life, and will be as President of the United States.

On Tuesday, speakers will talk about John Kerry's lifetime of
strength and service. Speakers including Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts,
Christie Vilsack of Iowa and Governor Janet Napolitano of Arizona will talk
about John Kerry and John Edwards' service to the nation and fight for
average Americans.

Teresa Heinz Kerry will speak Tuesday evening.

Wednesday, July 28

A Stronger More Secure America

John Kerry and John Edwards have the strength of character and
toughness to lead America during difficult times and a plan to keep us safe.
They will protect America by building a strong military and strengthening
international alliances, and they will protect us at home by improving
homeland security and by supporting our police, firefighters and other
first responders. John Kerry and John Edwards know that an America
respected in the world is an America safer at home.

Featured speakers who will highlight the Kerry-Edwards path to a
strong and more secure America include: Governor Bill Richardson of New
Mexico; Mayor Martin O'Malley of Baltimore, Maryland; and Retired Marine Lt.
Col. Steve Brozak of New Jersey.

Vice Presidential nominee Senator John Edwards will address the
Convention on Wednesday evening. Elizabeth Edwards will introduce her husband.

Thursday, July 29

Stronger at Home, Respected in the World

On Thursday evening, John Kerry will address the nation. He will
tell the American people that, as president, he will face the nation's
challenges head on and work on behalf of all Americans to build an America that is
stronger at home, and respected in the world. He will also talk about
his optimistic vision to build a stronger America, and his commitment to
the values that make America great, including working hard and playing by
the rules, and strengthening faith, family and freedom throughout our
nation.

Preceding John Kerry and playing an important role will be his Swift
Boat Crewmates, who have stood by Kerry for more than 30 years since Kerry
lead them through the dangerous waters of Vietnam's Mekong Delta. Jim
Rassman, the Green Beret that John Kerry rescued by pulling him out of a river
in Vietnam under enemy fire, will also speak about John Kerry's tested
leadership, strength of character and lifetime of service to the
nation.

These men will speak to Kerry's ability to lead America during
difficult times and to make America stronger at home and respected in the world.

John Kerry's daughters, Alex and Vanessa Kerry and two step sons,
Chris and Andre Heinz, will also play a role in Thursday night's program.
They will speak about John Kerry as a father and role model that taught
them the importance of serving your country and fighting for the ideals that
make this nation great.

The Honorable Max Cleland, one of the men that know John Kerry best,
will introduce him on Thursday night. Senator Cleland will talk about his
friend as a commander in chief that has been tested on the battlefield and
that can be trusted to lead America to safer and stronger times.

The 2004 Democratic Convention will take place at the FleetCenter in
Boston. For regularly updated Convention information visit

www.dems2004.org.

After reading this load of horse manure, I hope the Boston Police Department puts a picket line ten deep around the Fleet Center.

Just Some Thoughts...

I'm very glad to let Blogs for Bush take the lead again, they say it better than I can.

We were all pissed when Democrats couldn't handle the fact that Bush was
rallying the troops on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln last year, and when he
went to Baghdad on Thanksgiving...

John Kerry has just used a 9-11 Memorial Dedication ceremony for a photo op
and this was without a doubt inappropriate - unlike Bush who was
legitimately boosting the moral of the soldiers.

A LETTER FROM MRS. LAURA BUSH

Dear Patrick,

On July 15th, I was delighted to join over 100,000 people for a conference call at more than 6,900 Parties for the President taking place in all 50 states.

Thanks to all of you who opened your homes to friends, family, and neighbors to help spread the word about our campaign.

We have a tremendous grassroots organization in place for this election, but we want to do more. To win, we'll need more people to put up yard signs, walk their neighborhoods, and make calls to turn out a huge vote.

You can visit our website - www.GeorgeWBush.com - to get information about supporting the President and to find out how to become a Bush volunteer. You can also create a "Personal Precinct" to help you contact voters in your community or around the country. The Internet allows us to reach more voters than ever before - and every voter you reach will take us one step closer to victory.

Will you help as a Bush Volunteer today?

Simply click on the link below to get involved:

www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/

There is much to be done, and I'm counting on friends like you to make the difference. Please sign up as a Bush Volunteer today.

Sincerely,

s/Laura Bush

P.S. I've also set up a special page on our website where I have put the recipe for my Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk cookies. I hope you'll like them. If you do, you can stop by www.familycircle.com and cast your vote in "the other hotly contested election" this year.

Just Some Thoughts...

Instead of doing any original work, I'm more than glad to turn this over to Blogs for Bush:

With the shameful fundraiser Kerry & Edwards held last Thursday, I've
thought of two different past stories, the first being the Paul Wellstone
Funeral/Rally and the second being the Trent Lott fiasco. The latter is
believed by many to have built up momentum because of bloggers, and the
former teaches us the power that video has at exposing the nature of
liberals who care more about winning then about values.

Well, we know there must be a video of that fundraiser somewhere. (Editor's note: Let's offer a reward.) So as
bloggers, we have to keep the story talked about and fresh in people's minds
until the video comes out.

Captain Ed has a post on Blogs For Bush today regarding Kerry "vowing to
restore truth to the presidency" and notes how Kerry lies in the article
after claiming that he and Edwards "have not stood up and attacked our
opponents in personal ways,"

If you read Captain Ed's post, it's clear that this fundraiser, (which
amongst other things feature grotesque insults against Bush by Whoopi
Goldberg) can be a huge liability to the Kerry/Edwards campaign and the
longer we keep this story fresh in people's minds the better chance we'll
see the video get leaked while the story still has public interest. And
don't forget, this fundraiser is the event he went to after saying he didn't
have time for a national security briefing.

My hope is that if this story gets pushed throughout the week, we can
contribute to reader awareness of this event, and help mount pressure to
release the tape.

Other things you can do besides writing about the stories is submit your
blog entries to Instapundit and the WSJ's Best of Web to try and get more
attention to your posts. Instapundit seems less inclined to link to posts on
Blogs For Bush due to its overly obvious partisan nature, but if a number of
you wrote stuff about this recently Washington Post story in contrast to
the fundraiser, he may just link to a few of your posts.

So lets see if we can keep this story alive... Don't forget to link and
trackback Blogs For Bush, each others blogs, and discuss the story in
comment threads.

Is It a Stroke?

(From John, our correspondent in Narrowsburg.)

This was published in a monthly newsletter where a friend of mine lives and she sent it on.
I had never heard this advice before and hadn't a clue.

Perhaps you hadn't either and would like to file it away in the back of your head.

"Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say any bystander can recognize a stroke asking three simple questions:

* ask the individual to smile.
* ask him or her to raise both arms.
* ask the person to speak a simple sentence.

If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1
immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions.

They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke
Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage."

Just Some Thoughts...

Normally, I try not to repeat political stories more than once on this site. However, the following story has been ignored by the mainstream media, Drudge, Newmax, etc. The only ones interested are the Blogosphere.

Kevin Patrick wrote on Blogs for Bush about a story about Joe Wilson, he
wrote:

"..the Washington Post shows that the Joe Wilson/Yellowcake Uranium
Scandal/Publicity Tour was full of self-serving, dishonest and all-aroung
wrong statments, allegations and propoganda by the former Ambassador who
"outed" the Bush White House's ignoring of his warning that Iraq
didn't seek
Uranium from Niger. Turns out the White House was correct and Joe Wilson is
a publicity seeking liar."

This will allow various blog crawling engines
to rank the stories and our blogs appropriately, increasing our effect.

A LETTER FROM PRESIDENT BUSH'S CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Dear Patrick,

On Thursday night in New York City, the liberal left of Hollywood and the Kerry campaign got together for a star-studded hate fest the New York Times described as an "unsparing skewering of the Bush administration" that featured "actors and comedians denouncing the president as a liar, making off-color jokes about his name, and accusing him of risking soldiers' lives for political gain."

Kerry said "every single performer" had "conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country."

We disagree, and we're pretty sure you do too.

The Heart and Soul of America may disagree with a President, but they have respect for the office - a respect the Kerry campaign and its supporters seem unwilling, or unable to show in favor of vicious, venomous rhetoric.

Help us fight these attacks by making a contribution today at

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Contribute.

With your help, we can show the liberal elite that the Heart and Soul of America doesn't believe in the politics of pessimism and hate spread by the Kerry-Edwards ticket, but prefers the politics of optimism and the President's positive agenda.

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Contribute

Help us ensure we have the resources to hit back the next time Kerry's coalition of out-of-the-mainstream surrogates call the president a "a cheap thug" or refer to the Administration as "a self-serving regime of deceit, hypocrisy and belligerence."

Help us continue spreading the President's hopeful message.

Help us reject the hypocrisy of the Kerry-Edwards ticket - hypocrisy that was on display Thursday night, and yet strangely culminated with Edwards claiming our campaign is one of "hateful, negative politics."

The Kerry-Edwards ticket clearly demonstrated who is waging the hateful and negative campaign by refusing to denounce the performers at Thursday's event.

Fight back! Make a contribution today.

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Contribute

Together, we will win.

Sincerely,
s/
Ken Mehlman

Theresa Heinz Kerry Changing Party Registration

So I'm down at the local diner razzing the Democrats..."John Edwards is so handsome..."..."Let's see the videotape of the Kerry fundraiser..." and on and on and on...

So many targets, so little time.

Then some nitwit stated that Theresa Heinz Kerry switched from the Republican Party because she was mad about the treatment of Senator Max Cleland.

Thank God for the internet. I happened to find the following story detailing the real facts of her change in party. It started back in 1994 when, Rick Santorum was running the first time.

Thanks to Blogs for Bush for this story.

When I was a kid, whenever I got caught in a lie, my mother always quoted Lincoln," You can fool some of the people all of the time; all of the people some of the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."

Then she'd give me a thumping for lying.

A pity we can't do the same to the public figures listed above.

I'll say this again, Thank God for the internet, the lies of Theresa Heinz Kerry and Joseph Wilson IV would have seeped into the national consciousness and then eventually would have been held up as truth.

A GLIMPSE INTO THE UNITED STATES UNDER A JOHN KERRY ADMINISTRATION.

If you are wondering how the USA would fare under a Kerry administration, this story epitomizes all the lunacy, stupidity and failure that would happen under his loony, left-wing, liberal regime:

Big Dig price tag remains at $14.6 billion

By Associated Press, 7/1/2004 14:23

BOSTON (AP) Big Dig officials said Thursday the final cost of the massive highway project likely will hold steady at $14.6 billion with just over a year of work remaining.

The Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel project is now 94 percent complete, and should be finished between May and September of next year, said Matthew J. Amorello, chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

The current cost estimate has been unchanged for three years, after several years of overruns.

''I am cautiously optimistic that as the project moves into its final year, we will be able to maintain the budget at its current level,'' Amorello said.

The original estimate in the late 1980s was $2.6 billion.

The last installment of the annual finance plan now awaits approval by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, Amorello said. The federal government pays most of the cost.

The project replaced the elevated Central Artery of Interstate 93 with underground tunnels through downtown Boston. It also connected Interstate 90 the Massachusetts Turnpike to Logan International Airport, and added the Ted Williams Tunnel beneath Boston Harbor.

The Dewey Square Tunnel, commonly called the South Station tunnel, is the last major hurdle before reconstruction of the surface streets and construction of the string of parks where the old elevated artery used to be.

The Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel Project: www.bigdig.com

Please note: If this were a Department of Defense project, Senators Kennedy, Kerry, and Edwards would be demanding all sort of explanations, investigations, and criminal trials.

WHY IS IT THAT WE HAVE TO SPEAK ENGLISH?

(From John, our correspondent in Narrowsburg.)

An officer in the U.S. Naval reserve was attending a conference
that included admirals from both the U.S. Navy and the French Navy.

At a cocktail reception, he found himself in a small group that
included personnel from both navies. The French admiral started
complaining that whereas Europeans learned many languages,
Americans learned only English.

He then asked: "Why is it that we have to
speak English in these conferences rather than you speak French?"

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied: "Maybe it's
because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you
would not have to speak German." The group became silent.

The man gets up and goes to the door to find a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain.

The drunk asks him "Could you give me a push?"

"Not a chance," says the husband, "it is 3 o'clock in the morning!" He slams the door and returns to bed. Who was that?" asked his wife.

"Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers. "Did you help him?" she asks. "No, I did not, it is 3 o'clock in the morning and it is pouring out there!"

"Well, you have a short memory," says his wife."Can't you
remember about three months ago when our car broke down and those two guys helped us?

I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!"

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain. He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"

"Yes" comes back the answer. "Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband.

"Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark. "Where are you?" asks the husband.

"Over here on the swing!" replies the drunk.

COUNTDOWN!

Just Some Thoughts...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Unfortunately, there is a note of sadness. Several news sources are reporting that the Islamo-Fascists have beheaded another American. This time it is US Marine CPL Wasef Ali Hassoun, an immigrant from Lebanon, and also a Muslim.

His family has the deepest sympathy of a grateful nation for his ultimate sacrifice.

Of course the Kerry-Clinton-Moore Axis-of-Stupidity will blame this on the Bush administration. The thrust of the argument will be that if we just apologized for all the wrong the USA has done in the world, everything would be alright.

OK, if that's what it takes, here it is:

An Apology to the Islamo-Fascists

John Kerry's Vice-President Pick Revealed

A Special Message From President Bush

Dear Patrick,

The campaign is in high gear. A tough opponent is running against me; we cannot take him lightly. This is going to be a close election.

I appreciate all you have done for my campaign already. I have been able to get my message to the American people because of your generous support.

Everywhere I go, I remind people of our country's ability to transfer challenge into opportunity in the past three and a half years. It is the President's job to confront problems, to speak clearly and lead with strength. And that is how I will continue to lead this country.

We came to office with the stock market in decline and our economy headed toward recession. But we acted. We delivered historic tax relief: Over 1.4 million new jobs have been created since August and our economy is the fastest growing of any industrialized nation.

We saw war and grief arrive on a quiet September morning. While we comforted those who had lost family or friends, we pursued the terrorist enemy across the world. We've captured or killed many key leaders of al Qaeda and the rest know there is no cave or hole deep enough for terrorists to hide from American justice.

In Iraq, we acted to remove the threat of Saddam Hussein and freed 25 million Iraqis from the tyranny of a madman. Now illegal militias, foreign fighters and terrorists are trying to take control by force what they could never gain by the ballot. They know a free Iraq will be a major advance in our War on Terror. But we will defend Iraq and defeat these enemies.

Because we acted, nations like Libya got the message and voluntarily disarmed. Because we acted, an example of democracy is rising at the very heart of the Middle East. Because we acted, the world is freer, and America is more secure.

In the fight against terror we worked with Congress to pass the Patriot Act and brought down the artificial wall so law enforcement and intelligence officers could talk with each other to help prevent future attacks. We are working hard to keep terrorist attacks limited and outside of America's homeland.

At home, we have left more money in the hands that earned it by passing the largest tax relief in a generation. By spending and investing and helping create new jobs, the American people used their money far better than the government would have.

We passed the No Child Left Behind Act to reform an education system that has failed the neediest students in our nation's classrooms. Every child must learn to read and no child will be left behind.

But there is more work to do and as the campaign enters the summer, I need your help again. Your continued support today will mean the difference in a close election. I hope you will make a donation of $2,000, $1,000, $500, $250 or even $100 or $50 today.

The man who sits in the Oval Office will set the course of the War on Terror and the direction of our economy. So there is a lot at stake in this coming November election.

My opponent has built up quite a record in nearly 20 years in Washington, D.C. In fact, he's been in Washington long enough to take both sides on nearly every issue. He reminds me of a saying we have about the weather in Texas -- If you don't like it at the moment, just wait a few minutes...it'll change.

That is no way to lead a nation, particularly when so much is on the line. My opponent hasn't offered much in the way of strategies to win the War on Terror or to expand prosperity. But he has certainly got his liberal allies all stirred up to attack me.

These groups, funded by large "soft money" donations from wealthy left-wing liberals have been running television commercials against me for months now.

That's why I need your help. Federal law allows gifts up to $2,000 per person or $4,000 per couple: I would greatly appreciate it if you'd send $2,000, $1,000, $500, $250 or even $100 or $50 today.

Patrick, we still have work to do. We must win the War on Terror; the world is counting on America. We must spread prosperity to every part of our nation. We must work together over the next four years to make America a safer, more prosperous and better place -- and encourage the spirit of service and compassion that makes America the finest country on the face of the Earth.

History has given us great challenges. Let us welcome these challenges and let our actions testify to the greatness of America. Thank you for your friendship and your prayers. May God continue to bless our nation.

Sincerely,

s/George W. Bush

P.S. Patrick, can you visit our secure server at www.GeorgeWBush.com/Contribute/ to make a contribution of $2,000, $1,000, $500, $250 or even $100 or $50 today? My opponent and his friends are using vicious rhetoric in key battleground states. The race is close and with your continued support, we will win. Thank you.
