The Pamphleteer |
|
During colonial times in America, if you wanted to convince or inform people about some issue that you considered important, you went to the local printer and got some pamphlets printed. You then handed them out, read them to anybody that was interested, nailed them to the town bulletin board, or the nearest tree.
The first amendment was specifically written to protect this type of activity and the writers or "pamphleteers".

Just Some Thoughts... You have to feel sorry for the City of Boston. The city will be getting a double dose of bad news. The New York Yankees arrive tonight to start a three game series that will finish off the Boston Red Sox's season. Then Monday, the Democratic Party Nominating Convention arrives in town. Talk about the Curse of the Bambino. And we've been sent the following by Dan, our correspondent in the Commonwealth of Taxachusetts, who has also volunteered to be a designated driver at the Convention.
Sad to say, but there are many Democrats who think that one or more of the agenda items should be real. |
